I'm a California native with a deep appreciation for the outdoors, creativity, and connection. Outside of work, you'll usually find me painting, hiking, on a leisurely bike ride, practicing yoga, or planning my next camping trip or travel adventure. I love to cook, enjoy a great restaurant, and despite my best efforts, have a bit of a track record when it comes to not keeping plants alive. My partner and I are devoted cat parents to our two cats.
My heart is split between Northern California, where my parents live and where I grew up, and the Ojai Valley, which I now call home.
Before transitioning into this work, I spent over 20 years in banking, where I built a strong financial foundation. Over time, I realized I wanted my work to feel more personal, more aligned with how I naturally take care of people. That shift led me here.

Nothing. Brokers are compensated by insurance carriers through commissions that are already baked into your premium. You pay exactly the same price whether you use a broker or buy directly, but with a broker, you get guidance, plan comparisons, and ongoing support at no additional cost.
Your first Medicare enrollment window is usually your 7-month Initial Enrollment Period: the 3 months before your 65th birthday month, your birthday month, and the 3 months after. If your birthday is on the first of the month, Medicare treats your eligibility as starting the month before. The Annual Enrollment Period, October 15 through December 7, is mainly for changing Medicare Advantage and Part D drug plans. The Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period, January 1 through March 31, is for people already in a Medicare Advantage plan. If you missed your first window, the General Enrollment Period runs January 1 through March 31, with coverage starting the month after you enroll and possible late penalties. Some people also qualify for a Special Enrollment Period, such as when eligible employer coverage ends.
It depends on the type of coverage you choose. Original Medicare with a Medicare Supplement generally works differently from Medicare Advantage plans, which often use HMO or PPO networks. Sky can help you compare how your doctors, hospitals, prescriptions, and travel habits fit with the options available in your area.
If you already have a Medicare Supplement, also called Medigap, California gives you a 60-day window following your birthday each year to apply for a new Medigap policy with the same or lesser benefits without medical screening or a new waiting period. This is separate from Medicare's fall Annual Enrollment Period and can be a useful time to review whether your current supplement still fits.
Medicare helps with medical care, but it does not solve every financial risk in retirement. Life insurance can help protect loved ones or leave money for final expenses, while long-term care coverage can help plan for extended care needs that health insurance and Medicare may not cover in the way people expect.
Annuities can be used to create predictable income, protect part of your savings from market loss, or support a broader retirement income strategy. They are not one-size-fits-all, so Sky helps review the purpose, costs, liquidity, surrender periods, and guarantees before you decide whether one belongs in your plan.
